Summer Style with Draper James

Draper James, founded by Reese Witherspoon, will be one of my shopping destinations for all things pretty this summer.

What do you think of when you think of summer?  I think of warm summer nights, beach trips and lots of outdoor adventures.  Luckily, when Draper James designed their summer collection they had the same vision in mind.  The line caters to what women really want to wear in the summer, “think easy-to-slip-on dresses, versatile shorts (you can dress them up and down!) and cute tops that double as cover-ups.”   The line is very feminine yet effortless and as Reese Witherspoon puts it best herself, “I just want women to feel comfortable and pretty.”  Sign me up, pretty please!

When you think of the Draper James summer collection think of fun prints, like this cute cherry romper that I absolutely adore, and lots of bright colors.  A romper is a summer essential and this versatile yet chic style is perfect for any summer soiree.  The silhouettes in the line are very feminine and the nod to traditional southern style is evident throughout the collection.  In case you are not familiar with the approach to southern dressing Reese explains it best, “southern women like to look pretty and put together, but we know how to take it down a notch.”

Beyond the clothing line Draper James offers the most darlin’ assortment of accessories.  I am personally a fan of their handbag collection that really talks to southern style with cute sayings on it, like this tote, that has Love Y’All printed on it.   I couldn’t think of a more classic summer handbag than this straw tote with a blue stripe down it.   It is pretty yet versatile enough that you can take it to the beach and then for a stroll around town.  Best part about it?  Look at how much it can fit!

As a busy mom the summertime seems to require extra packing when we venture out of the house.  This Draper James striped tote allows me to look chic while still toting around all of my summer essentials.  I think Reese would approve as the intention behind her collection is help women, make the most of out any outfit by wearing the perfect accessories.

According to Reese Witherspoon, the goal at Draper James, “is to bring contemporary, yet timeless Southern style to your wardrobe and your home, no matter where you live.”  If you haven’t already dropped one of these adorable “Howdy” Tees into your cart yet maybe the philosophy behind giving back at Draper James will convince you to do some shopping.  According to the “Giving Back” section on their site, Reese is passionate about supporting young women in their paths to becoming future leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of social change.  Reese chose to align herself and the brand with the partner, Girls Inc.
