If I could recommend one product that will benefit both you and your baby this would be it.  I struggled after Isabella was born in connecting with her and I really think this item helped me connect with Summer.  It is proven that skin to skin contact has so many incredible benefits for both baby and mom, of which I have listed out below, but I love how it kept her so close to me.  In those early days when its still scary I loved the idea of feeling Summer’s teeny tiny heartbeat against my chest while also knowing that she felt safe and secure.  Let’s be honest how many times do you check their breathing after they are first born?  I would say 1000 times for me is being modest.  Nesting Days invented this carrier that is not only easy to put on but also easy to get your baby into.  Head to their site to see more images on how to wear it.  Summer who I can not believe will be 4 months tomorrow still loves being inside the carrier and I’m not going to lie the day where she can no longer fit snuggly inside there will be a sad one.  Nesting Days main purpose is for skin-to-skin contact but I also loved using it as a carrier as pictured in my images.   So when given the opportunity I would highly recommend using it in those beginning days and thereafter with your baby only wearing a diaper and mom wearing just a nursing bra.  While, I can not guarantee that Nesting Days prevented me from fully experiencing postpartum depression with Summer, like I did with Isabella, I can definitely say that it attributed to the prevention of PPD.   So I would highly recommend this product for both the health and happiness of mom and baby.

SKIN-TO-SKIN BENEFITS FOR MOM
Wearing a skin-to-skin baby carrier boosts oxytocin levels and lowers cortisol (science talk for; more love and less stress), and increases prolactin, for better milk production and greater breastfeeding success. It also promotes healthy attachment and bonding, because the nesting days are when these begin. Finally, our carrier aids in learning baby’s cues, so feeding, sleeping and awake time can be more fully enjoyed.
SKIN-TO-SKIN BENEFITS FOR THE NEWBORN

Nesting Days‘ soft, criss crossed wings hold the newborn mid-line, in a natural ‘curl’ against the wearer’s chest, without the need for wrapping, ties or buckles.

The side tie is there to adjust the tension over the baby’s back, allowing for growth and ease of use. It is NOT what holds the baby.

That is accomplished by its unique patented design.
Please go to theIR Instructions page to learn more about how their design takes the worry out of babywearing.
