Hi friends! Now I know you have all heard of at-home food delivery services that drop off the ingredients at your doorstop along with a recipes steps and picture references but what if I were to tell you there was something EVEN easier? Something that literally only required one press of a microwave start button and the chomp, chomp, lip smack of your mouth? Well insert Freshly. Delicious, convenient, and (DUH!) fresh.
It’s a delivery service that delivers meals to your doorstep, like the others, but what differentiates them is the fact that the meals are already pre-proportioned, packaged, and prepared. All you have to do is unwrap and pop in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. You choose your menu ahead of time, how many meals you want per week, and then you are set. It’s foolproof and so flawless.
I think my biggest problem with cooking, although I do seriously love to do so when I have time, is the clean-up process. I can’t think of anything worse than slaving away over a hot stove, stirring and chopping and mincing, eating till you can’t walk, and then having to clean up the mess you made. Freshly eliminates all of that and I’m so happy about it. I don’t know if this will be appreciated in saying so or not but Freshly reminds me of a frozen meal except that it actually tastes like something you’d order at a fancy restaurant.
My first Freshly meal was Baked Penne Marinara with sautéed zucchini and kale. Now don’t judge the fact that I ate it for breakfast (food is food ya’ll), but it was scrumptious. I loved the texture especially. The pasta was just the right amount of al dente and the sauce was both creamy and dreamy. It didn’t feel heavy either. After I was done eating I felt fulfilled but not stuffed, which is a nice balance. I’m pretty into overeating, sadly, and this pre-proportioned meal kept me from doing so.
I urge you all to give Freshly a go. It’s a life-saver and the new way to eat.
