If you read my blog you know that Summer doesn’t sleep very well.  When we first got home from the hospital we were running on adrenaline.  There were lots of visitors, lots of food being delivered and lots of help so the sleepless nights didn’t seem that awful.  At the start of the second month, you convince yourself that the end is near and that in one more month you and your newest addition to the family will be sleeping through the night.  Well month two came and went and I was still up with Summer at 10pm, 2am and 4am.  With Isabella we tried to do it all on our own and she still is not a great sleeper so this time around we called in reinforcements.  We hired a baby nurse to come three days a week from 10pm – 7am and it has been a game changer.

The first thing she told us to do was to get Dr. Brown’s bottles.  I was willing to try anything to get some sleep so we overnighted a shipment of Dr. Browns and started with them the next day.  Guess what?  I’m not sure if it was the night nurse working her magic or the Dr. Brown’s working theirs but Summer slept from 12-6 after having her first bottle from Dr. Browns.  I really put it to the test this weekend.  My husband was out of town so I was able to set a schedule without any distractions for Summer.  Saturday night she got her Dr. Brown’s bottle at 8:00pm and was down at 9:30 without a peep.  And guess what?!  She slept from 9:30 – 5:30 am and didn’t wake up once!  While I can’t guarantee that Dr. Brown’s will work its magic with you I do highly recommend them and its the only bottle I will be using going forward.   To all of my sleep deprived parents out there, or those just looking for bottle suggestions (there are sooooo many!) I suggest trying Dr. Brown’s Options and here are a few reasons why…

Dr. Brown’s Options

The vent system allows you to experience all the health benefits of the bottle which

  • Helps reduce feeding problems
  • Helps preserve vitamins
  • Helps digestion
  • Vent and nipple create vacuum-free feeding

Some moms and dads find removing the vent a convenient option as their baby’s feeding becomes more developed

  • Provides a feeding experience similar to most nipple-vented bottles
  • Nipple venting creates a paced flow

The Power Of Choice
This innovative bottle effectively and efficiently covers all parents’ needs. Dr. Brown’s Options grows with the needs of your baby and offers healthy benefits whether your little one is experiencing feeding challenges or not. Options gives you the power of choice and quite possibly the power of sleep.

I would love to hear your experiences with sleeping and sleep training.  Was there a product that you used that helped you?  Or was there a routine that helped get you and your little one to sleep through the night?  Please email as I would love to hit that 7pm-7am mark before she turns 4 months!
Thank you to the brands who help make Dress Your Guests possible!  We love working with you and look forward to continued partnerships.
